January 13

Today I was born, but when I came out of my egg, no one was there. I tried to look for my mom, but I could not find her.

January 25

I still can’t believe that my mom just left me and all of my brothers and sisters as egss!!

February 7

Today I was in a tree and it started to rain so I jumped 47 feet from the tall tree. It’s a new record!!

February 26

Today while I was walking to a river to get some water I saw one of the best divers that I have ever seen. He was a cute iguana too. His dewlap was perfect. He was about 7 feet long. I wish I could see him again!!

March 14

Today my friend Rachel invited me to her birthday party. In the invitation it said that they were going to have my favorite crickets. Yummy!!

My tail fell off today because I got in fight (but thank goodness it will grow back).

April 4

I was sooooooo cold today. All I did was lay on a rock. I hate being cold blooded.

April 12

Today I ate all of my chocolate crickets. Then I ate the frozen mealworms. Now I’m going to the gym.

May 9

Today I was walking with Jake when Julie came by with all her bright colors. Jake just looked at her for a long time. Her tail had fallen off so we asked her what had happened. She said that some humans tried to take her, but the truth is she got it got stuck and it fell off. She’s such a liar. Luckily Jake knows this. That’s why Jake and I are going to the June dance together.

May 21

Today I woke up and a rock fell on my tail and broke it off. (It should grow back in time for the dance).

June 10

I was chillin’ up in a tree with some of my friends when one of my friends yelled, “SNAKE!!” We all paniced and jumped out of the 50 foot tree. It was fun when we jumped. I like jumping out of trees.

July 14

Today was the worst day ever. First I lost my tail. Then I fell out of a 50 foot tree. Then I met a fox and now it’s really dark!!!

August 3

Three things I like about being an Iguana:
1. I can fall 40-50 feet and not get hurt.
2. I grow to be 4-6 feet long. Maybe I’ll even grow 7 feet.
3. I can dive from a tree into water and swim away.

September 14

While I was sitting on the rocks, the boys were talking about which one of my friends, Amy or Jenny, had made a better burrow to lay their 50 eggs. In my opinion, neither did. Amy’s is too close to a snake’s nest and Jenny’s is right across from the wolf’s territory, but mine is right next to the lake. All the boys already know my burrow is the best.

The Place I want to Visit is New York by A.L.

The place I want to visit is New York because I heard that it is very pretty. I also want to see The Statue of Liberty. My grandma has been there so many times and she tells me that it is nice there.



The other place I want to visit is Washington state because there are a lot of waterfalls in the mountians and I love waterfalls.

Thanksgiving by WB

This Thanksgiving some of my brothers and sisters came up to my brother's house.
I had a good time talking with them.(I hadn't seen a few of them in a year). While waiting for the food to cook we sat around watching T.V. When food was cooked we all went to eat. After we ate I went to my brother's basment, and he DJed. I never heard him DJ before. He was really good. About 11pm my sister said she was going to take me home.

That was my Thanksgiving.

Diary of a Giant Squid by All Class Members

January 13

Today I was chasing a fish, but the fish hid behind a boat that had a steal cable around it. I bit it – luckily, I can bite through steal.

January 25

Today Dad tried to take a ship down by wrapping his tentacles around it, but he had to let it go because the water was getting warm and he didn’t want to get stuck on the surface.

February 7

Today a whale tried to eat me, but I got my squid homies and had a meal.

February 26

Today the whale’s homies came looking for me. Good thing I saw them with my
big eyes so I could get away.

March 14

Today me and my friends were racing. I won because I can shoot water out of my body.

March 30

Today I almost died!! The water got too warm and I started to rise to the surface. I hurried and swam down farther.

April 4

Today I was swimming in the dark, cold ocean when a sperm whale tried to eat me. I got away, but it was scary.

April 12

Today I saw another giant squid. He was about 57 feet long. He broke the record of biggest squid. He told us stories about how he has seen a 100 foot squid. I thought that was cool.

May 9

I’m glad I have big eyes because I was a whale coming to try to eat me today.

May 21

Today my mom was trying to get food, but she felt that the water was getting too warm so she stopped and came back. If she didn’t, she would go to the surface and suffocate.

June 10

Today I got hit in the head by a pirate ship so I sunk it and ate their captain – tastes like sparrow.

July 14

Good things about being a giant squid:
1. I have really hung eyes that are 18 inches wide. Cool, huh?
2. My mouth is so strong it can bite through steal.
3. I breathe through my gills.
4. I eat whales when I catch them.
5. I can move fast through the water by shooting water out of my body.

August 3

Bad things about being a giant squid:
1. Getting eaten by giant sperm whales.
2. I can’t go on the top of the ocean or else I might die.
3. If I catch food I have to bite it into really, really small pieces so it can go through my brain.

August 21

Being a giant squid is kind of hard because we live in the bottom of the cold ocean and never see sunshine, but we live for a long time, we grow very big, and we move rapidly in the water.

September 13

Today I was so bored I wanted to go to the surface and she what it was like, but Mike told me I would die if I went up there.

October 7

Today I was saw a very cute squid. She had loooooong tentacles (legs). She was hot!!

Christmas

This christmas im going with my dad, first christmas ever with him. Were going too mygandparents in wyoming. I love it there! its nice and peaceful and very beautiful. The stars are so bright. When im there were going to go snow mobiling sleeding and other fun things. I hardly get to see my grandparents and there MUCH cooler than my moms parents. i cant wait too go up there.

The Artist by Iyan

A painter with nothing to paint, a writer with nothing to write, and a singer with nothing to sing. These are some of the things artists run into. Some of them rise from it. Others believe that they will never be inspired. But for those people, they are in the blind stage. They can't see all of the inspiration in the world. One of my inspirations are miracles. Like a solder bleeding to death behind enemy lines, but a native nearby comes to his aid. Or someone in the hospital dying, but the next morning is healthy. These are some of my inspirations. So find your inspiration.

Why I hate bees by Zach

When I was little I used to get stung a lot by bees. On day my brother, some friends, and I was playing in my grandma's yard. My grandma said she would give all us five buck if we poled weeds in the back yard, so we said "OK." We started to pole the weeds. Then I poled one weed that was hooked to a bees nest. I got stung in the eye. I couldn't open my eye for two weeks. My brother had bees all over him. My uncle had to spray him down with water. My friends got stung a couple times. That is why I hate bees.

The Nutcracker By Carolina

The Nutcracker was really fun. I liked the beginning. It was really calm, but then the mouse comes and throws the bombs that scared me so much. I almost screamed. Then another part I liked was at the end when the girl is dancing. She looked really pretty with that outfit. It was shinning so beautiful in the light.

The Nutcraker was really good. I like how they danced. My favorite thing was the building because it was really big and pretty. I like some of their clothes. They were sparkly. The cannon was cool, but it made me jump. The little kids were cute when they did there little dances. It was awesome when they did the backflips.

A Third Grade Memory by Zach

A third grade memory I remember is when I was nine years old I had a bike wreck. Before I wrecked I was going off a jump on my bike over and over again. Then I went home for an hour or two. Then I went back and went off the jump again. After the fourth time I stopped to take a brake. Ten minutes later I got up and got on my bike and went off the jump full speed. I fell off my bike right on to my hand. Three days later I went to get an x-ray. I sprained my wrist, I came close to breaking it. I had to wear a removable cast for about two months. That is my third grade memory.

The Best Basketball Game by Brenda

It was testing day in gym class about soccer and every one looked ready for it but me. So I did my best but my best was not good enough. I missed 5 out of 8 it was terrible. Then the coach said get a ball and everyone ran to get one. Then Shaney and I wear shooting hoops. After five minutes we got bored so we decided to ask the two first guys to play us. And the two guys happened to be Nathen and Alex. As soon as the boys got the ball the game was on. At first we kept to the rules then we just didn't care. Alex was guarding Shaney so I had to run down court and do a lay up. Half-way up my lay up Nathen's foot got stuck around my ankle and I fell on my face. Nathen couldn't stop laughing. Then around the end of the game Nathen's team had the ball. It was then that I realized how fun the game was and how bad we had lost to the two nerdiest guys in gym.

Yesterday 12-03-07 by Miche

Yeaterday I came to school. I had a pretty good day at school, but when 7th period came around I got nervous because I told my boyfriend that if he doesn't meet me after school then its over between us. I said that because I'm sick of him ditching me. So after school I got really really really nervous. When I got where we normally meet he wasn't there. I was very very upset. I was cryingm and everything. Then I called his friend to see if he was there and he said,"Nate just left about 10 mins ago and he wanted me to tell you that he is sorry." So then I calmed down and waited for about an hour and a half till he got there. He was so happy to see me. He ran up to me and pulled me off the wall I was sitting on and gave me a big kiss. After that we went and got something to eat and just chilled at BK. Then he walked me home and talked to my mom for a min. Then he went home and that was my day yesterday.

The Nutcracker by Senorita Jorge

On December 5, 2007, I took my students to Capitol Theatre to see the ballet, The Nutcracker. All of the students behaved very well - they were respectful and attentive to all the performers. For the most part, everyone had a really good time. The students commented on how much they enjoyed the building, the costumes, and the dances. Almost everyone enjoyed the first half better than the second half. They loved the fight scene between the mice and the Nutcracker's army - especially when they fired the cannon.
